Jon is an experienced performer, artist, composer, arranger, and educator who has been a professional pianist since 1974. After focusing his studies on musicology and pedagogy, his education was furthered by a 27-year residence as a pupil of Nadia Boulanger and Pierre Schaefer. This piano teacher has performed as a solo pianist for the United Nations in Vienna and traveled with his own band throughout Europe. Jon has composed scores for multiple films and created his own music studio. He has worked with artists such as Duke Ellington, Lena Horne, Leonard Bernstein, and Quincy Jones. His teaching aims for results at the highest levels. Jon encourages each student to become aware of their own potential while also developing their technical fundamentals. This piano teacher believes in a focus on posture and arm positioning to achieve perfect coordination and flexibility.
